Uniquely You

Oh man, where do
I even start? I’ve noticed that social media is redefining trends in the urban
community, specifically in women. Daily I log into the world’s largest social
media platforms which includes Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SnapChat and a
plethora of many others; where I observe how degrading it’s become towards
women. Women are now identified as an image, and not a good one. Don’t
get me wrong, social media is a powerful tool, and a necessity for me and my
brand. But lately I’ve been disgusted by the half-naked pictures that have been
posted.

 Now day’s it seems
as people are more interested in likes, followers, and becoming
 a social
media celebrity than staying true to who they really are.
Ethics, morals, and self-respect
have gone out the door.
As I scroll
through my social media feed, mainly Instagram
 I find a
timeline crowded with exposed bodies. But why?
Why do women feel
the need to expose their most intimate parts to strangers?

 What is the reason
behind posting provocative pictures?
 It saddens
me that society has come to this point.
Women should never
feel the need to expose themselves
for a sense of gratification or attention.

Ladies, confidence
comes from within, and not by how many likes
or comments you
get from posting a half-naked photo.
Your body is your
temple and shouldn’t be shown to the entire world!
Be unique, and stay true to yourself.
 Remember, you’re representing your brand!
You’re only a screen shot away from being dismantled.

“Everything that God made valuable in this world is well covered and hardly
to see, find or get. Diamonds can be found deep down in the ground, pearls are placed at the bottom of the ocean covered up by sea shells, and gold was placed in the mine. The body is scared and unique. Far more precious than gold, diamonds or pearls. If you leave your precious minerals uncovered on the surface of the earth, you will always attract a lot of illegal miners to come and mine you illegally. Keep your body covered so that it invites professional miners to chase you. “–Angel Hernandez
