Fashionably Cheap

Happy February! I can’t believe we are already in the second month of the new year. Time is flying!! I’ve been trying something new with my hair this year, and boy has been a struggle. So much maintenance goes into natural hair, it definitely has it’s days (which is a entirely different topic for a different day).

Many people have asked about my style lately and how I can afford a nice wardrobe. Well, let me just tell ya. Truthfully, this all came out of nowhere.  About 2 years ago, I was looking for a change. A change in wardrobe, hair, job, and self-esteem. I threw out all of my old clothing and shoes and decided to become a more confident me.  I was never one to pick up Vogue Magazine or drool over the latest fashion pieces. My inspiration truly comes from other content creators and bloggers.

I have very little patience for malls, disorganized stores, or massive shopping departments. I’m not one that shops on sale racks; shorting through clothing makes me cringe.  Most of my clothing comes from boutiques, and online. The items that I buy are actually a reasonable price! For instance, the ivory cardigan that I’m wearing was only $49.00 and the light grey booties were $40.00! You don’t have to break the bank to afford nice clothes! It’s not what you wear, it’s how you wear it.  A list of Louisville owned boutiques and online stores that I shop at are below. I will be rounding up my cheap finds on the blog soon!

  1. I love that cardigan! And it’s OK to pay a little more for items that you’ll get a ton of use out of, but you don’t want to break the bank, either…
