Where do I even begin? It’s been a while, and a lot has happened. The good, bad, and ugly. Life has hit me hard these last few months. I had to grow up, and I had to grow up fast. Real life has kicked in, but the lessons that I’ve learned are astronomical.
Instead of spending $100 on my favorite products, online stores, and throwing my money away on meaningless items, I’ve learned to budget, how to make $20 last for a week, and have found the importance of life.
My 26 year old self is learning the value of a dollar, self love, family and what it truly means to pick up the pieces and start over again. Truthfully, it’s been hard for me to open up about my life lately, but it feels so refreshing to finally do it. Sometimes my pride gets in the way, and I too forget that I am only human. Life comes with all kinds of obstacles and trials. You cannot allow yourself to stay down, every obstacle is a lesson that only helps you to appreciate the blessings that are about to happen.
Hence to say, the obstacle has led to a greater appreciation for life, and the people that are in it. So I am here to tell you, if you’re going through a hurdle, obstacle, or trial HOLD ON, I promise it will get better. You will learn how to smile through the pain, embrace the little things, and have a greater appreciation for this thing called life.
